Operational Excellence Manager(Automotive) (#1330)

Our client is a division of a large, publicly traded global industrial technology company ~90,000+ employees, headquartered in North America. This automotive-focused segment supplies connectivity solutions.

A new position has opened: Operational Excellence

• Responsible for driving productivity and operational performance improvement at plant.
• This role supports the manufacturing organization by applying structured improvement approaches, performance management, and hands-on problem solving to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency.
• Working closely with the Plant Manager, Value Stream Managers (VSM Leaders), and cross-functional teams, this role enables improvement ideas to be translated into sustainable results on the shop floor, while effectively engaging with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive productivity, efficiency, and operational performance improvements at plant.
• Identify performance gaps through data analysis and on-site observation, and lead structured problem-solving activities.
• Partner closely with the Plant Manager to support factory priorities and improvement direction.
• Work with Value Stream Managers (VSM Leaders) to identify improvement opportunities and execute action plans.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods in a practical, shop-floor-oriented manner.
• Support KPI definition, tracking, and regular performance review routines.
• Coach managers and teams to build sustainable improvement capability.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and respond effectively to high expectations from global management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles.
• Hands-on experience working in a plant environment.
• Business level English (fluent level preferred but workable level is fine).
• Ability to perform professionally and deliver results in a high-expectation global environment.
• Chinese language capability is a strong plus.
